Uninterrupted mobile service from basement to bedroom
One Nine Elms, developed by Excel Winner UK, has two towers rising 42 and 57 storeys high which are linked together by a glazed bridge. Working closely with the developers and other contractors, we deployed a 4G distributed antenna system (DAS) to ensure everyone across both buildings can use mobile devices seamlessly, no matter what network they use. The DAS also provides an upgrade path to 5G and beyond for technologies in the future.
The deployment includes coverage for all the mobile network operators in the majority of the lifts, a first for a residential development in the UK. This means people can enter the development in the basement and continue using their devices uninterrupted until they reach their destination inside.

The digital infrastructure Freshwave deployed not only allows everyone in the development to use voice and data no matter where they are today, but also positions One Nine Elms to be able to add other digitally enabled services in the future that will keep the development at the cutting edge of technology.
A discreet solution for a premium environment
As a luxury development incorporating 103 branded residences managed by the UK’s first Park Hyatt Hotel, it was paramount for the premium visual aesthetic to be maintained when deploying mobile connectivity. This includes in the communal spaces such as the gyms, ballrooms and meeting rooms. Our approach ensured the robust connectivity demanded by clientele was balanced with respect for the high-end design.
The campus DAS serves both towers in the development and can also be extended to other sites as needed in the future.
