For both brand-led hoteliers, seamless connectivity was always understood to be another way to convey the Malmaison and Hotel du Vin boutique lifestyle brands. Since 2002 and 2004 respectively, we’ve delivered a managed Wi-Fi service to more than 35 of these hotels.
Malmaison and Hotel du Vin hotels are typically located in destination city centres. If there’s a university or cathedral, there’s also likely to be a Malmaison and Hotel du Vin hotel.

Initially motivated by the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester, the IT Director at Malmaison hotels wanted robust Wi-Fi, branded his way, in his public spaces. He planned to deliver a pop-up business centre space for his guests. Working closely with the Malmaison brand team, we developed an innovative service model where we delivered the hardware installation and ongoing Wi-Fi services, while the hoteliers retained control over price and branding.
Unusual at a time when Wi-Fi vendors typically retained this control through revenue share models only, our commercial and contractual flexibility has led to a full, leading edge, Wi-Fi estate refresh twice since the start of the relationship. Looking ahead, Malmaison and Hotel du Vin are considering the same Wi-Fi provision for their UK serviced apartment and non-hospitality portfolio.
