Enabling smarter towns and cities and connected office-based public sector workers

Connected communities

Hyperconnected towns and cities are the future. We work with local authorities, the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) and all four mobile network operators to provide the assured connectivity that will enable smart cities.

From air pollution monitoring programmes to civic drones, every digital innovation programme relies on a layer of digital connectivity, as do the citizens they serve.

Connected public sector workers

We assure the indoor connectivity of many critical central government buildings, helping office-based employees work the way they need to.

From enabling the functionality in newer smart-tech led offices, to supporting the digitalisation of historical buildings turned workspace.

Providing assured connectivity where it matters most

We work in collaboration with :

I’m pleased to see us making good progress to improve the digital connectivity within Sutton. This will be a huge boost to residents, particularly those living, working or visiting the so called ‘not-spots’ and will also be a very welcome improvement to our infrastructure for local businesses

This new deal will activate a 5G infrastructure pilot to all mobile networks this year which will make the City even more accessible and better connected for visitors, workers and residents. It is helping to drive forward momentum in the Square Mile’s recovery from the pandemic and will boost the City’s attractiveness for talent.

I’m proud that we were the first borough to see outdoor small cells deployed using the open access model. Any kind of new approach like these needs a lot of close collaboration and Freshwave were with us every step of the way on this journey. I’m pleased that the people and businesses of Croydon are already benefitting from improved connectivity and it will continue to provide value for them well into the future.

We’re entering a new phase in the digital age, and providing connectivity to those who need it most is a top priority.
